Standard version Su7, as a graduate student in science and engineering, let me first talk about the advantages:
The exterior and brand emotional value are maximized. Every time I look at it before getting in the car, my mood improves. Colleagues and friends around me all say it's good when they see it. It has low energy consumption, the car's system is smooth and highly intelligent, and the navigation in the car system is useful, eliminating the need to connect a phone. It has practical features like 360-degree seat ventilation and heating, and radar alarms significantly reduce the possibility of scratches. The leather seats feel comfortable to the touch, and the interior design is also attractive, with plenty of storage space. On good road conditions, using sport mode provides abundant power, and the optional 6000 sound system with sport exhaust roar feels very cyberpunk. Every time on the highway, pressing the pedal gives the thrill of a real man. For commuting in traffic, comfort mode is very comfortable, and the space is adequate. As long as you're not exceptionally tall, you'll find it very spacious. Regarding intelligent driving, I haven't used OTA (I don't quite trust the standard version), but LCC is very useful on highways, greatly reducing my driving fatigue over long distances. The automatic parking is very useful, too, making me too lazy to park myself during commutes. Overall, compared to traditional fuel cars, it truly feels like two different eras.
Now, let’s talk about a few minor disadvantages. First, although intelligent driving is generally useful, when encountering a slow-moving vehicle at a long distance on the highway, it doesn’t slow down in advance but rather suddenly decelerates sharply when quite close, which is a bit silly (not sure if it’s due to the lack of a lidar). Second, the transparent sunroof is slightly glaring; it’s okay in spring and autumn, but in summer, you'll definitely need to buy one of those black sunshade curtains for the roof.
Overall, it's a good car. If given the choice again at this price point, I would still choose it. I just hope Xiaomi can further optimize the software algorithm in intelligent driving. I trust Mr. Lei Jun.
