Mercedes G-Class, as a representative of traditional luxury off-road vehicles, boasts significant advantages in its drive system. It features a full-time four-wheel drive system with a three-differential structure. On one hand, it can achieve a torque amplification of up to 2.93 times in low-speed four-wheel drive mode, allowing it to quickly traverse steep environments. On the other hand, with the help of the front, center, and rear differential locks, it can instantly lock the wheels to extricate itself. Of course, in the city, simply using the electronic limited-slip system and the all-terrain feedback system allows it to grip the road at all times in different environments and weather conditions, ensuring dynamic driving stability. Besides off-road driving capabilities, the boxy structure offers greater cabin space, allowing even drivers as tall as 184 cm to have more than one and a half fists of headroom in the front row, making the cabin feel very spacious. Unfortunately, despite certain improvements in recent years, the rear seat depth is still insufficient. Apart from the fact that the trunk can only fit three medium-sized suitcases, the legroom between the rear seats is only about three fingers. After all, the Mercedes G-Class is still a luxury off-road vehicle, so its shock absorption and noise reduction are not that good. The sound of the 4.0T engine starts to penetrate the cabin from mid-range speeds, and the overall bridge-type non-independent rear suspension provides a noticeable bouncing sensation when passing speed bumps or other hard obstacles. However, the Mercedes G-Class itself is a "mechanical beast" designed to challenge extreme road conditions. If you seek comfort, it's more reliable to consider the Mercedes GL series.
