Beijing Hyundai Reina 2020 1.4L Manual Refresh Edition. In the under 50,000 range, the cost-effectiveness is excellent.
Appearance:
Stylish yet classic, it won't feel out of place even after 5 to 8 years. There are four color options, mostly white, but blue and gold are also quite nice. Red is not recommended because the paint on cars of this price range ages noticeably after a few years, and it might affect resale value.
Space:
The front space is relatively narrow, while the rear longitudinal space is quite good for its class. The trunk space is 468L, which is fairly sufficient.
Interior:
The original factory-fitted central control cash register comes with a storage space underneath. Because of this storage space, I did not opt for the Android car machine recommended by the 4S shop. It's worth mentioning that the USB port on the car machine charges very quickly, filling up an iPhone in 40 minutes even when navigation is on.
Performance:
Choosing a manual transmission was based on considering that cars at this price generally don't have great power, but with manual transmission, there's more autonomy; press the pedal and you have power. It's not strenuous to reach 120 on the highway.
Noise and Fuel Consumption:
80 km/h is a clear demarcation line, as wind noise, tire noise, and engine sound become more pronounced beyond this speed. Sound insulation is somewhat lacking. Similarly, fuel consumption is about 4 liters at 80 km/h. It rises to 5 liters at over 100 km/h, and 5.7 liters at 120 km/h cruise.
Comfort:
As mentioned earlier, sound insulation is an issue, and so is heat insulation. The car’s body is not well-insulated, leading to high interior temperatures under the sun. The manual air conditioning is difficult to adjust to a comfortable temperature, either roasting your face and feet in winter or remaining cold. In summer, it's either too cold or stuffy. Frequent manual adjustments are needed. The suspension is relatively soft, which is fine over speed bumps but the body sways significantly while turning, especially in the rear. Although the number of speakers is few, the sound quality is passable.
Summary:
The Beijing Hyundai Reina 2020 manual refresh edition offers extremely high cost-effectiveness. The purchase cost, operating cost, and residual value are all excellent. It is the most cost-effective choice in the 50,000 price range.
