I bought this car because I needed a vehicle for commuting. After changing jobs, the commute became longer, so I had to drive. As a beginner, I can’t really comment on things like suspension, braking, acceleration, or whether it feels unstable at high speeds. I personally have no preference for a car’s appearance or color, so I won’t judge it based on looks. The following are just my impressions as a layperson.
First, the pros:
1. It’s surprisingly spacious for such a small car! Not to mention the front seats, but the two rear seats and the trunk are quite roomy. The sunken trunk can fit two storage boxes and still have extra space, which is perfect for someone like me who receives a lot of packages. It should also be no problem to carry some stuff!
2. As a woman, I still prefer a car with good looks. The interior color scheme is coffee brown, giving off a strong retro vibe. The cream-colored dashboard is mostly curved.
3. The color and texture of the seats are excellent. The chocolate-colored interior has a very soft visual appeal.
4. The car model is relatively small and rounded. For a beginner like me, it’s quite flexible when reversing or turning, with a high tolerance for errors. It also has advantages in narrow roads, passing, and parking!
As for the cons, these are very subjective:
1. The rotary gear shift design makes me uncomfortable. I’m used to using a lever, and with the rotary knob, I feel like I can’t react quickly enough! It has a strong mechanical feel, and the gear symbols are on the knob.
2. The space under the front seats is open, with no center console. This is very inconvenient, especially for someone like me with a pet, as I have to worry about the dog accidentally stepping on the accelerator. The newer models should have improved this. I noticed that the main dashboard only has the gear shift, electronic handbrake, and one storage area... All the controls are tightly packed on the same plane, which feels awkward.
3. Additionally, the wiring under the passenger seat is exposed, which is quite unsafe. Later, I installed a cover myself. The car feels light when driving, and there’s significant tire noise. It feels a bit unstable when driving over 100 km/h (those used to driving gasoline cars might find it uncomfortable).
