Starry is instantly recognizable as a typical multi-purpose transport vehicle. The independent front and rear windows, the manual sliding door on one side, and the large double-opening tailgate can accommodate various usage scenarios. In addition, the large body and high chassis provide the driver with a wide field of view, making it quite convenient to operate once familiar with the vehicle's size. The wide protective plates on the side door and front and rear bumpers help prevent various scratches and bumps. However, this is ultimately a practical passenger vehicle, so the features are not abundant, but the essential ones are complete, including power mirrors, which elevate the vehicle's class.
【Most Satisfying】The boxy body naturally provides extra-large space. Upon entering the second row, you get an immediate sense of spaciousness. The second-row seats are fixed and come with individual armrests and headrests, with a knee-length distance from the front row. Perhaps due to its dual-purpose for passengers and cargo, the test vehicle lacked a third row, but the first row has three seats. With six people sitting comfortably, the trunk can still hold more than six large trolley cases, leaving plenty of space, making it suitable for moving and transporting items regularly.
【Least Satisfying】Perhaps because the test vehicle is new, there is a slight new-car smell.
【Dynamic Testing Feedback】The cabin's sound insulation pleasantly surprised us. Even at highway speeds, the wind noise is low and not as noticeable as in similarly priced MPVs or SUVs. In terms of overall dynamic driving, Starry is not as nimble as a sedan and has a somewhat large turning radius, which takes some getting used to. The steering wheel has no play and feels substantial. Additionally, it has ample power, making it easy to start and overtake on highways, even on uphill stretches. Importantly, the diesel engine is fuel-efficient; with a 2.2L displacement, the average fuel consumption is only 7.5L/100km for city and highway driving, outperforming the official rating, which is quite impressive.
