"Magic Star Yao landed at 128,000 yuan, picked up the car in December 2022, and has currently driven 5,100 km."
1. Advantages: Stylish appearance, numerous features, high cost-performance ratio. At this price level, it's undoubtedly packed with features and unbeatable. Lifetime warranty and free basic maintenance.
2. Configuration details:
① Hidden door handles are absolutely flashy. They pop out automatically when the vehicle is unlocked. The only regret is that they retract automatically after 30 seconds if the car is not locked, and won't pop out automatically if someone approaches. For example, when you're sitting in the car waiting for someone, it is possible that they arrive, but the door handle has already retracted, and this person might not know how to open such car doors if it's their first time in your car. In such cases, it is recommended that the Magic owners step out of the car to open the door for them, which not only shows your courtesy but also avoids awkwardness, achieving a double benefit.
② Really fell in love with HUD; once used, it's indispensable. Occasionally there is a green background, but luckily the green appears in front of you, not above you.
③ The heated steering wheel and ventilated heated seats warmed my entire winter.
④ The automatic parking and tracing reverse features are impressive, but "its" driving skills are average, to the point where even as a newbie who just got a license three months ago, I disdain to use them. I haven't used remote parking, as it feels a bit too childish, and I haven't encounter a situation where my car is tightly squeezed between two others after parking. I commend the above cool features, but I really can't use them.
⑤ All driving assistance features that might interfere with my driving operations, such as lane keeping and assisted braking, have been turned off because, in my view, they're disruptive, not assistive.
⑥ The car's system is based on Huawei's HarmonyOS, genuine and has a built-in Huawei app store, sharing the Huawei ecosystem. But it is matched with BAIC's own UI, which looks a bit rough in terms of overall interface and animations. Watching videos and navigation can't be full-screen filled, which can only be said to be passable. However, considering the price of Magic, this car system has no rivals in the same class, absolutely an experience above its class. Occasionally, there are minor bugs. When there are no bugs, I understand and support it, but when bugs appear, I want to curse.
⑦ The car control services on the mobile side are rich, but occasionally the Bluetooth key fails. I once experienced the car battery draining because the Bluetooth key kept connected due to proximity in the parking lot.
3. Disadvantages: The chassis tuning and shock absorbers are too stiff, leading to poor comfort. Combined with the stiffness of the front zero-gravity integrated sports seats, it's extremely firm, sitting in the car feels quite rigid. Wind noise performance is average, tire noise is slightly loud. The materials and workmanship of the interior reflect "cost-saving." The experience of the car system OTA updates is very poor; updates cannot proceed if the battery level is below a certain threshold, but in the Northeast winter, no matter how much you drive, it may never reach this threshold, quite amusing.
4. Summary: There are no major issues with the car. If you like this appearance, prefer fuel cars, and want to experience the HarmonyOS and intelligent configuration, you can consider purchasing. If anyone has other questions or wants to discuss more, feel free to leave a message. I consider myself somewhat of an expert in the daily use of this car.
