Hongqi H9, as China's first executive-level luxury sedan, boasts an impressive and powerful exterior design. The side lines are smooth, and the rear employs a fastback style, adding a dynamic touch. The interior features red accents on the dashboard echoing the Hongqi emblem on the hood, with soft leather wrapping throughout the cabin. However, some details need refinement, such as the shifting of driving modes lacking a limit stop. The seating position is wide and soft, with perforated stitching enhancing seat ventilation, heating, and massage functions, as well as offering an extendable leg rest, providing a wealth of comfort features. In terms of space, the front row offers a four-finger headroom with an ideal seating position, while the rear provides two fists of space, with headroom slightly limited by the fastback design, roughly three fingers. The rear also includes automatic air conditioning, a middle control panel, and seat massage, ventilation, and heating are not absent, with the backrest angle being electrically adjustable. For technology, the front row features a color head-up display system with delicate imagery and rich content, and the dashboard is fully digital, although the UI display needs slight optimization. Safety features like ACC adaptive cruise control, collision warning, and lane departure assist are all present. In terms of driving, the car is equipped with a 3.0-liter supercharged engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and adopts rear-wheel drive. The power is abundant with minimal delay, though the gear shifting speed is not overly proactive. The car's style leans towards comfort, aligning with the tuning of the engine and transmission, with almost no jerkiness during shifts. The steering wheel offers precise directional control with moderate force, featuring trendy capacitive touch buttons, which are not ideal for blind operation while driving. The hood design extends upwards, requiring adaptation as you can see the entire hood within the line of sight. The rear is equipped with air suspension, efficiently filtering out small daily bumps, but the vehicle lacks agility during lane changes and has significant body roll, making it unsuitable for intense driving. The Hongqi H9 is recommended in the 3.0 Qichang version. Although it still has some gaps compared to rival models in the same class, the Hongqi H9 is a first-generation vehicle, and its competitors have already gone through several generations, products of technological accumulation. It's hoped that Hongqi will face challenges head-on and strive to become China's leading luxury brand.
